Second . . . you need to understand proper spray tan care. Going into your appointment prepared will help your skin maintain its glow, absorb the tanning solution more evenly, and help you get the perfect color that you’re looking for.

 Follow these tips: 



• Exfoliate and shave at least 24 hours before your appointment. 

• Come with clean, fresh skin and don’t moisturize right before your appointment. 

• Don’t wear any other beauty products, including makeup. 

• Complete all other beauty services like nails, waxing, facials, and massages prior to your appointment. 

Third . . . proper care of your skin after your tan will ensure your tan doesn't turn orange, streaky or brassy. There’s nothing worse than walking out of the studio bronzed and beautiful and then messing up your tan by not following the proper spray tan care tips in the days to come. If you want to maintain your glow and avoid an orange spray tan, keep these tips in mind: 

• Wear loose-fitting clothes after your tan. 

• Don’t wear a bra or undies right after your tan. 

• Stay away from all moisture, including working out until you rinse. 

• When you rinse, shower with water only until the water runs clear. 

• Pat yourself dry after the shower instead of rubbing your skin with the towel. 

• Moisturize with an oil-free moisturizer at least twice a day beginning 24 hours after your tan. 

Remember, a skilled spray tan artist will only take you as dark as your skin tone allows. Every person of every skin tone deserves to have a spray tan that makes them look and feel fabulous and having an orange tan is not on that agenda.
